Call for Poster Proposals

 

OhioMTA Collegiate Chapters are encouraged to attend and participate in the 2016 Ohio Music Teachers Association State Conference. The 2015 conference will be held at the Kent State Conference Center in Kent , OH  on November 3-5, 2016. Poster presentation topics may include pedagogy projects, collegiate chapter activities, professional development, business of teaching, pedagogical performance, literature and community outreach. Collegiate Poster Session Results

Held at the 2014 Fall Conference at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, October 16-18. Awards given: $250.00 for 1st Place, $150.00 for 2nd Place and $100.00 for 3rd Place.

The Ohio University Collegiate Chapter of MTNA was awarded the 2015 Benjamin Whitten Collegiate Chapter of MTNA Award at the 2015 MTNA National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This honor is awarded to the top collegiate chapter nationally that demonstrates excellence in chapter activities and that promotes the highest professional standards.The committee cited the chapter’s outstanding outreach activity, namely Project Inspirare (www.projectinspirare.org) and the Listen Up! initiative. The chapter has been invited to present on Project Inspirare and Listen Up! at the MTNA National Conference, the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, MTNA Collegiate Chapters Piano Pedagogy Symposium, and the Ohio MTA State Conference.
