Penny is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Penny worked for Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati for 11 years, first as an administrative assistant in marketing and later as an office manager for senior services. While there, she scheduled seminars for doctors, residents and nurses. Penny also worked for Cincinnati Area Senior Services (CASS), starting as Executive Assistant, then becoming Manager of Transportation Services. At CASS she coordinated annual fundraisers, such as golf outings, art shows, annual meetings, and planned events for four senior centers.
Penny is currently working with an elderly woman who is writing her memoirs and short stories. She also volunteers for a therapeutic horseback riding program for disabled children and adults. In her spare time she works with a friend planning/decorating for weddings and receptions.
Penny married into a very musical family; music teachers, singers, and instrumentalists. She and her husband Jeff have been long time subscribers to Cincinnati Symphony and Cincinnati Playhouse. Penny and her husband have two children, and four grandchildren. They have just moved into their new house in Independence, Kentucky where they live with their dog, Abby, and cat, River.
