The National Music Certificate Program (NMCP) is the official OhioMTA State Student Certificate Program and is available to students of all ages (adults included) throughout the state. Currently in over 30 states, it is the fastest growing student music certificate program in the country!
Students may earn these well respected and comprehensive certificates of merit at 10 graded levels. Also available are Preparatory levels A & B (preceding Grade 1) and two Associate Certificates following grade 10.
Practical exams consist of four parts: performance, ear training, sight reading, and technical skills. Theory exams are available for: Elementary Rudiments, Harmony, Counterpoint and History.
Copies of the NMCP Syllabus can be ordered through any music store from Frederick Harris Music in Toronto.
